We are launching an end-to-end warranty management solution that empowers manufacturers to speed up warranty processes, boost customer satisfaction, and streamline team workflows. We are on a mission to reduce operational costs and enhance the customer experience through next gen technology.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and highly motivated Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to bring this venture to success.
Please note: This is not an employee opportunity at Diagram Ventures, but in a new company created through our venture studio model. This company will be independent of Diagram Ventures, and the founding team will receive the majority of the equity in the venture.
The Opportunity
Manufacturers’ product warranties represent a large revenue drain for OEMs, with warranty claims costing up to 5% of net sales for manufacturers. Product warranty management is a manually intensive process for both the manufacturer and customer, with added complexity when a technician is required for repairs. These challenges result in inflated operating costs for OEMs and a frustrating experience for customers.
There is an exciting market opportunity to solve these challenges and frustrations through a product warranty software platform that is purpose-built for manufacturers and leverages AI to solve issues and expedite the entire process.
This venture has been significantly de-risked, with product-market fit verified and a solid commercial pipeline of future customers.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an accomplished technical co-founder to lead a world-class engineering team and build an enterprise SaaS company.
Your specific responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the co-founding team to define the product vision and technical strategy.
- Set up the technology infrastructure, processes, and best practices from the ground up - selecting stack, defining architecture, etc.
- Execute on an existing partnership opportunity with a design partner to bring a working MVP to market.
- Lead technical conversations during sales and deployment with potential OEM customers.
- Build and lead a passionate engineering team.
- Build and manage the development roadmap, define and track KPIs, progress, and budget.
Background and experience:
- Proven track record of driving the technical build on both front-end and back-end to MVP and production release with a start-up/agile mindset.
- Strong experience building and scaling solutions in the enterprise software industry, ideally with a background working in the consumer electronics and appliance industries.
- Experience integrating data from a wide range of database sources.
- Implementation of AI/ML technologies, particularly with LLMs and recommendation engines.
- Leadership in hiring, managing, and growing engineering teams.
- Experience building at the intersection of software, hardware, and data analytics, and dealing with enterprise integrations.
Other desirable assets:
- Experience being founder/co-founder or early hire in a venture backed company
- Familiarity with security compliance requirements (ISO27001, etc.)
