Team Assistant
Department: Platform & Operations
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: San Francisco
Reporting To: Felicity Davies
Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000 / year
Description
Based in San Francisco, you will be supporting the US Operations Team and Talent Investors as we build out our SF Office as the global hub for EF founders from across the world.
As Team Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in enabling us to deliver the best possible founder experience and support the wider team to build EF’s reputation as one of the best places to find early-stage companies.
Please note: This role requires you to be able to work up to five days a week at our San Francisco office and be open to travel across the US.
What you'll do
- Diary management - support Senior Leadership to optimize their time
Working closely with Senior Leadership, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that things run to plan and to time. You will have ownership over the two of EF’s Partner’s diary and travel, managing schedules intelligently and supporting them to optimize their time. The Partners will be based in San Francisco and New York but will be traveling across timezones frequently.
- Be the organizational powerhouse across the US team
You will be the consistent thread across our US operations. You will support a wide variety of tasks, from ordering merchandise to keeping our office stocked and supplied. The team will rely on you to proactively manage multiple workstreams and ensure budgets and timelines are met, setting the standard for organizational excellence.
-
Provide day to day operational support to enable our Talent Agent model
You will support our US Operations Associate on the ground in SF. You will manage the day to day operations / running of our EF SF House (a property in the Bay where the Founders live) and support with our selection and onboarding processes.
- Logistical support to grow our US Builder Community
You will support our Ops Associate with running and operationalising our
Build Retreats. These are regular events hosted across the US in extraordinary locations. This could mean booking travel, finding an incredible location or masterminding a large grocery delivery.
What you bring to the table
-
Operational or Administrative experience: 1+ years in an operational or administrative support role
-
Tech-Savvy: Proficient in tools like Airtable, Slack, and Salesforce, with experience in creating automations. Curiosity and willingness to learn-on-the job will be considered, if you don’t have experience.
-
High regard for detail: Meticulous in record-keeping and tracking metrics.
-
Team player: Exceptional verbal and written skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
Who you are
-
You thrive when making “order from chaos”. You bring structure to any environment you are part of and see ambiguity as an opportunity to define your role and add value. You demonstrate maximum organizational efficiency to get things done on time and on budget, whilst staying open to changes which might arise.
-
You are looking for a fast-paced work culture and flourish in environments with high levels of ambiguity and change. You are able to synthesize large amounts of information quickly and take a First Principles approach to problem solving
