Fund Investment Analyst

Description
We are looking for an exceptional Investment Analyst to join Entrepreneur First’s Funds team, which is responsible for:
- Portfolio investments - Follow-on investments in EF portfolio companies from Seed to Series B.
- Portfolio monitoring, insights and valuations - Collect key information from our global portfolio of 500+ active companies, and synthesise it into important insights.
- Investor relations - Running EF’s annual general investor meeting and supporting all EF fundraising activities.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting Investment Research
- Conducting some foundational and analytical work that will filter into the preparation of detailed investment memos, which underpin investment recommendations. This may involve areas such as competitor analysis, market research, or strategic frameworks.
- Provide clear, data-driven research to strengthen team insights.
- Due Diligence and Financial Analysis
- Review portfolio company materials and assist with financial modelling, often focusing on the granular data needed to assess performance and viability.
- Contribute to translating EF's performance to our investors by preparing sections of investor reports and providing ad hoc data support for EF's fundraising efforts.
- Portfolio Monitoring and Insights
- Investigate quantitative and qualitative data collected from a global portfolio of 500+ companies to discover leads of emerging opportunities and inform our quarterly valuations. Build an intuitive understanding of portfolio trends.
- Team Engagement
- Participate in weekly investment calls.
- Contribute to team processes, including portfolio calibration and portfolio stack ranking with GMs, to ensure alignment on priorities.

About you (experience):
It would be good to see evidence of high numerical competency and a good level of proficiency in Excel and/or Looker. Beyond that, strong evidence of exceptionalism across anything! This role is targeted at those in the early stages of their career, but we welcome all applications.
